Background and Experience

Jo Leigh grew up in Cadbury near Exeter in Devon - going to school in Thorverton and Crediton. Intensely practical, Jo joined the Womens Royal Naval Service (WReNS) in 1990 hoping to train as an engineer. Her dream career was cut short by redundancy. Direction changed towards first IT, Photography and the building suppllies industry -

After gaining experience first with several established sweeps and completing training courses with APICS and RPS Snaplok

Jo became an APICS registered, and SFA approved professional chimney sweep. Continuous Professional Development is considered a high priority. Courses include NVQ/CITB property maintenance, OFTEC installer training course (HETAS equivalent) and most recently GQA L2 NVQ in Sweeping, servicing and inspecting Flues and Appliances - being the only official qualification in the industry.
